Kids Term 3 Competition Season 2018

Kids Term 3 Competition Season

Our Kids Term 3 Competition Season is starting for 2018

This year our Kids Classes will be entering 3 competitions:

  • National Eisteddfod
  • The Gauteng Dance Festival
  • SA Dance School Championships

Competitions create an excellent opportunity for children to broaden their view on their dancing, meet children from different dance studios and establish what level their dancing is on. Competitions create an additional drive in young dancers, however, it is not particularly about winning but the teamwork and support that is derived from it.

National Eisteddfod of South Africa 2018

The National Eisteddfod of South Africa offers various opportunities to performers in all communities for participation, development and showcasing of their talents in music, dance, theatre and fine arts. The comprehensive Prospectus of the National Eisteddfod provides for classical and contemporary music, speech and drama in all official languages, dance, creative and fine arts, as well as learners with different abilities.

“The arts have a vital role to play in the development of self-esteem, nation-building and the wellbeing of our people.” – Albertina Sisulu.

As entries are submitted we await the dates from Eisteddfod which could be between 13 August to 19 October.

The Gauteng Dance Festival

This Gauteng Dance Festival, previously known as the Randburg Dance Festival, will be hosted at Robinhills Primary School from 18-26 September 2018, offering performances for Modern, Tap, Ballet & Hip Hop.

SA Dance School Championships

SA Dance School Championships is excited to kick off a new and inspiring season for 2018. With our exceptional competitions and attention to detail, we are looking forward to welcoming you.

SA Dance School Championships has not lost sight of the fact that its success is owed to the hard-working teachers and studio owners that appreciate a fair, fun, organized, and on-time competition.

From its online registration, low-stress environment, unique awards and scoring system, SA Dance School Championships aspires to deliver a quality event to dancers, school directors, teachers and parents alike.

We are therefore very excited to announce the brand-new format of the SA Dance School Championships. Making it not only a learning experience for beginners on stage but also a competitive competition. We would like to introduce the three divisions of the SA Dance School Championships.

The Johannesburg competition will be hosted at Victory Theatre between 15-19 October 2018.
